Ingredients for Pav Bhaji Roll Ups Recipe

  • Tortilla wraps 4

  • Lettuce leaves 8

  • Nutralite 3 tablespoons

  • Onions chopped 2 medium

  • Green chillies chopped 3-4

  • Ginger paste 2 teaspoons

  • Garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Tomatoes chopped 4 medium

  • Green capsicum seeded and chopped 1 medium

  • Green peas boiled and mashed lightly ¼ cup

  • Cauliflower grated ¼ small

  • Potatoes boiled and grated 4 medium

  • Pav bhaji masala 1½ tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Onion sliced 1 large

  • Tomatoes seeded and sliced 2 large

  • Processed cheese grated 1 cup

  • Red chilli powder ½ teaspoon


Step 1

To make pav bhaji, heat Nutralite in a pan and add ¾ of the onions. Sauté till light brown. Add green chillies, ginger paste and garlic paste. Sauté for 30 seconds.

Step 2

Add half the tomatoes and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously or till fat separates from the masala.

Step 3

Add green capsicum, green peas, cauliflower, potatoes and 1½ cups of water. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, pressing with the back of the spoon a few times, till all the vegetables are completely mashed.

Step 4

Add pav bhaji masala, salt and the remaining tomatoes. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.

Step 5

Place the bhaji in a kadai and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring often, till all the moisture evaporates and the bhaji is dry. Add coriander leaves and mix. Transfer into a bowl and set aside.

Step 6

For onion-cheese mixture, combine sliced onion, sliced tomatoes, grated cheese and red chilli powder. Mix well and set aside.

Step 7

Heat a tawa and lightly warm the tortillas on both the sides.

Step 8

Place a warmed tortilla on a square piece of aluminum foil. Spread ¼ of the bhaji over the tortilla and generously sprinkle a fourth of the onion-cheese mixture over it.
