By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Orange Juice, Orange rind Cuisine British Course Desserts Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Orange Rice Pudding 1 teaspoon Orange Juice Finely shredded 1/3 cup Orange rind soaked 1/2 cup Fresh orange juice 1/2 cup Raisins 2 cups Skimmed milk 1 1/3 tablespoons Honey 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla essence 6-8 Dates seeded and chopped Method Advertisment Soak raisins in water for fifteen minutes. Squeeze out excess water. Preheat oven to 160°C. Boil milk in a non-stick saucepan. Drain and add rice to the boiling milk, reduce heat and cook, stirring continuously till the rice is soft and the milk is completely absorbed. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Combine cooked rice with honey, raisins, vanilla essence, dates, orange rind and fresh orange juice. Pour into a medium sized ceramic or glass ovenproof dish. Bake the pudding in the preheated oven for fifteen minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
