Ingredients for Ice Cream Sandwich Recipe

  • Chocolate Sponge Cake 2 500 grams

  • Vanilla Ice Cream 1 litre

  • Malted chocolate powder as required

  • Chocolate sauce as required

Method

Step 1

Halve the cakes horizontally. Place one slice at the base of a spring form tin. Cut another slice and use the pieces to fill up the empty space around the first slice.

Step 2

Spread chocolate sauce evenly over them followed by a thick layer of vanilla ice cream.

Step 3

Sprinkle malted chocolate evenly and drizzle some chocolate sauce. Cover these layers with the remaining cake slices.

Step 4

Whisk the remaining ice cream to soften and spread on top. Sprinkle some malted chocolate over the ice cream.

Step 5

Keep the tin in the refrigerator to set. When completely set, remove from the spring form tin, cut into wedges and serve immediately.
