Ingredients list for Garlic and Cheddar Soup

  • 14-16 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese grated
  • 110 grams Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Malt vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons Vegetable stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fresh oregano leaves chopped

  1. Crush garlic. Melt 60 gms butter in a non-stick pan, add maida and sauté.
  2. Add milk slowly and cook stirring continuously.Melt remaining butter in another non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté till light brown. Add brown sugar and mix well.
  3. Add vinegar and mix well. Add cheddar cheese to the first pan and whisk well. Add vegetable stock and mix.
  4. Add garlic chutney to the soup and mix well.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl. Garnish with oregano leaves and serve hot.
