  • 1 cup Broken wheat

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, green cardamoms and bay leaf, mix and sauté till fragrant.
  2. Add onion, mix and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add broken wheat, mix and sauté for 5-6 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Add turmeric powder, salt, carrot, cauliflower, French beans and green peas, mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add 2½ cups hot water and mix well. Cover and cook under pressure till 4-5 whistles are released.
  4. Open the lid of the cooker once the pressure reduces completely. Transfer onto a serving plate and garnish with fresh coriander sprig. Serve hot with raita.
