Chocolate Stuffed with Pedha

This simple recipe is the perfect way to give desi mithai a videsi twist! We have made this one with dark chocolate and stuffed it with kesari peda, but you can try out a ton of different combinations. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Chocolate Stuffed with Pedha

  • 400 grams Dark chocolate
  • 8-10 Pedhas
  • for dusting Edible golden dust
  • for dusting Edible silver dust

Method

  1. Roughly chop chocolate and transfer into a bowl.
  2. Melt the chopped chocolate in a double-boiler and mix till smooth. Remove from heat and stir continuously to cool.
  3. Fill a silicon chocolate mould tray with some melted chocolate and refrigerate for 1 minute.
  4. Remove the chocolate from the mould and discard the excess chocolate using a scraper. Refrigerate again for 2 minutes.
  5. Melt the chocolate once again in a double-boiler. Mix till smooth, remove from heat and stir continuously to cool.
  6. Put some broken pedhas into the set chocolate mould, pour some of the remaining melted chocolate over, tap and discard the excess chocolate from the top using a scraper. Refrigerate till set.
  7. Demould and dust some edible golden powder and edible silver powder over prepared chocolates.
  8. Serve.
