History of Indian cuisine dates back to nearly 5,000-years ago when various groups and cultures interacted with India that led to a diversity of flavours and regional cuisines.
Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Chocolate Ki Sevaiyaan Recipe

  • Chocolate Powder powder 4 tablespoons

  • Khoya/Mawa 1 1/2 cups

  • Powdered sugar 3 tablespo

  • Green cardamom powder a pinch

  • Milk powder 1/2 cup +

  • Vanilla sponge cake 1

Method

Step 1

Lightly saute khoya in a non stick pan. Switch off heat, add powdered sugar, chocolate powder, green cardamom powder and mix.

Step 2

Transfer the mixture into a parat and mix well.

Step 3

Add ½ cup milk powder and knead into a dough. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Cut the sponge cake into small rounds with a round cookie cutter.

Step 5

Halve each round horizontally.Heat a non stick pan, place the cake slices in it and roast them till lightly golden.

Step 6

Dust a sevaiyaan mould with milk powder.

Step 7

Transfer the chocolate mixture into the mould and press out the sevaiyaan on the cake slices.

Step 8

Arrange the cake slices on a serving plate, sprinkle some milk powder and serve.
