Ingredients for Brown Bread Pudding Recipe

  • Brown Bread 8 slices

  • Brown Sugar peeled, pitted and diced 4 medium

  • Brown sugar 3/4 cups

  • Eggs 3

  • Skimmed milk 1 cup

  • Fresh cherries pitted and halved 1/2 cup

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Cook the diced peaches with half the brown sugar in one cup of water. Lightly toast brown bread slices and cut into triangles.

Step 2

Break eggs into a bowl and beat slightly. Add remaining brown sugar and milk and mix. Once the peaches turn soft, blend with a hand blender.

Step 3

Arrange the toast triangles in a baking dish. Arrange half of the prepared cherries over them. Add the egg mixture to the fruit puree and mix well.

Step 4

Pour over the bread in the baking dish. Arrange the remaining cherries on top and bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for thirty minutes. Serve warm.
