Ingredients for Vaghareli Roti - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Leftover chapattis 5-6

  • Ghee 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 4-5

  • Green chillies slit 2

  • Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon

  • Garlic chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Sour yogurt 1/4 cup

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • coriander leaves chopped for garnish

  • Yogurt to serve

Method

Step 1

Tear each roti into 4-5 pieces and put in a bowl.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and green chillies, mix and sauté for a minute on medium heat.

Step 3

Add the roti pieces and mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.

Step 4

Add garlic, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, sour curd and 2 cups water and mix well. Add sugar and lemon juice and mix well.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with yogurt.
