Ingredients
- 8 chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon red chilli paste
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ cup hung yogurt
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- Butter for greasing and basting
- Onion rings for serving
Method
- Put chicken wings on a plate. Add salt and ½ teaspoon chilli powder and rub well. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
- To prepare 2nd marinade, mix together hung yogurt, red chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, chaat masala, sesame oil, lemon juice and crushed peppercorns in a bowl. Add salt and remaining chilli powder mix well.
- Put the marinated chicken wings to the yogurt marinade and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Line a baking tray with an aluminium foil, grease with some butter and place the marinated chicken wings.
- Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, basting with some butter.
- Garnish with mint sprig and serve hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
