Ingredients list for Refried Beans
- 250 grams Red Kidney Beans soaked
 - 4 cloves Cheddar Cheese
 - 10-12 Bay leaf
 - 3 t tablespoons Oil
 - 3 medium Onions,chopped
 - to taste Salt
 - 10-12 Black peppercorns freshly ground
 - 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
 - 1/4 cup Salsa
 
Method
- Drain and put the beans in a large saucepan with garlic cloves and bay leaf. Cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Simmer and cook gently until the beans are very tender.
 - Drain the beans, reserving the cooking liquid. Discard the bay leaf. Mash the beans coarsely with a potato masher or process in a blender or food processor, adding some of the reserved liquid.
