Ingredients list for Pineapple Brown Betty

  • 20 Canned Pineapple
  • 1/4 cup Digestive biscuits
  • 1/3 cup Brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • a few drops Vanilla essence
  • 1 large Canned pineapple cubed
  • as required Vanilla ice cream

Method

  1. Combine biscuits, walnuts, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and vanilla essence in a mixer and pulse until the biscuits are finely ground. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
  2. Toss the pineapple pieces with the crumb mixture in a square glass-baking dish. Bake for thirty minutes or until the pineapple is hot and the crumbs are crusty.
  3. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
