Ingredients
- 250 grams pizza dough
- 16-20 pepperoni slices
- Refined flour for dusting
- Olive oil for brushing
- Pizza sauce for spreading
- 100 grams fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into thick slices
- 8-10 fresh basil leaves
Method
- Dust the worktop with some flour, place the dough, knock back to release excess air and knead again.
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll out into large semi-thick discs, place on a baking tray, cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 5-10 minutes
- Prick the proven discs using a fork and brush some olive oil on top.
- To prepare one pizza, spread some pizza sauce, place ½ of mozzarella cheese slices, pepperoni slices and basil leaves.
- Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Cut into wedges and serve hot.
