By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mawa, Powdered Sugar Cuisine Uttar Pradesh Course Mithais Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Pedas 500 grams Mawa grated 300 grams Powdered Sugar 2-3 drops Food colour optional ½ teaspoon Green cardamom powder Cookie moulds 8-10 Pistachios sliced Method Mix khoya with the sugar in a kadai or wok. Heat on low heat, stirring continuously. Cook till mixture thickens. It should form a very soft lump. Cool for ten minutes. Add cardamom powder and food colour. Mix well. Take a small fistful of mixture and press into the cookie mould. Turn out carefully. Press two to three slices of pistachio in the center. Repeat for remaining mixture. Serve.
