Ingredients list for Masala Oats Scones
- 40 grams Oats
- 1¾ cups Refined flour
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoons crushed black peppercorns
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups milk
- 2 teaspoon for garnishing Fresh parsley chopped
- 4 tablespoons double cream
- Juice of ¼ lemon
Method
- Preheat oven at 180°C. Place a silicon sheet on a baking tray.
- Take butter in a bowl and smoothen it. Add salt, ¼ tsp crushed peppercorns and sugar. Mix well and add egg and beat well with an electric beater.
- Add refined flour and mix well. Add milk, Saffola Pepper and Spice Oats, 1 tsp chopped parsley and knead well into a soft dough.
- Dust worktop with little flour. Place dough on it and spread into a 2 inch thick disc. Using a small cookie cutter, cut out 8 small discs from it. These are scones.
- Place the scones on the baking tray and put in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
- Whisk double cream in a bowl. Add lemon juice, remaining crushed peppercorns and 1 tsp chopped parsley and mix well.
- Remove scones from oven and place on a serving plate. Garnish with the cream mixture and chopped parsley and serve.
