Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1¾ cups refined flour (maida)
  • ¼ cup cornflour

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC. Lightly grease a baking tray.
  2. Take butter in a mixing bowl and beat with a hand blender till light. Add brown sugar and cream till fluffy.
  3. Add maple syrup and beat well.
  4. Sieve in refined flour and cornflour together into the butter mixture. Add walnuts and fold in with a spatula.
  5. Shape into round cookies and place them at equal distance on the prepared baking tray. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Bring the tray out of the oven and cool. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
