Ingredients list for Macaroni Cheese Pie
- Macaroni
- 1 Processed Cheese
- For filling
- 1 1/2 cup Macaroni blanched
- 1 cup Processed cheese grated
Method
- Preheat oven to 180ºC/350ºF/Gas Mark 5. Roll out the pastry dough into one-centimeter thick disk of ten inches diameter. Place rolled dough sheet on the greased pie dish (covering base and sides), trim off excess and press lightly.
- Prick all over with a fork and keep the pie dish in the refrigerator for ten minutes. Take the pie dish out of the refrigerator and blind bake in the preheated oven for ten minutes. Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic and sauté for a minute.
- Add blanched macaroni and toss. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and one teaspoon mixed dried herbs and toss well. Set aside to cool.
- Layer the base of the pie dish with the prepared macaroni and pour the white sauce on top. Layer grated cheese and sprinkle the remaining mixed dried herbs.
- Bake in the preheated oven for thirty minutes or till the top turns reddish brown. Remove from oven, cut into wedges and serve hot.
