By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Apr 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients cumin seeds, basmati rice Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Jeera Rice - SK Khazana 2 teaspoons cumin seeds 1 1/2 cups basmati rice soaked for 30 minutes and drained 3 tablespoons ghee 1 star anise 1 inch cinnamon stick 7-8 black peppercorns 3-4 green cardamom 3-4 cloves salt to taste 2 teaspoons fresh coriander leaves chopped Fresh coriander sprig to garnish Method Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add star anise, cinnamon, black peppercorns, green cardamom, cloves and cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. Add rice and sauté well. Add 3 cups water and salt and mix well. Let the mixture come to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add chopped coriander and take the pan off the heat.
