Ingredients list for Italian Thin Crust Pizza
- 450 gms + for dusting Refined flour
- 5 grams Tomato sauce
- 1½ teaspoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3½ teaspoons olive oil
- 2-3 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons grated mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup mixed bell peppers cut into strips and sautéed
- 1 medium onion cut into strips
- 8-10 mushrooms sliced and sautéed
- 7-8 black olives pitted and roughly chopped
Method
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in ¼ cup lukewarm water.
- Combine salt and refined flour in a bowl. Add dissolved yeast mixture and knead into a soft dough using olive oil and sufficient water. Remove the dough from the maker and set aside for 2-3 hours.
- Dust the worktop with little flour and spread the dough with your fingers. Roll out into a large thin disc dusting with flour.
- Spread tomato sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Place mixed bell peppers, onion, mushrooms and olives on top.
- Dust a pizza pale with little flour and slide the pizza onto it. Slide the pizza into a brick pizza oven and bake for 6-7 minutes.
- Remove from oven, cut into wedges and serve hot.
