Ingredients list for Chocolate Meringue

  • 30 grams Cocoa powder
  • 150 grams Icing sugar
  • 150 grams Egg whites
  • 150 grams Castor sugar (caster sugar)


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with butter paper.
  2. Sieve together the icing sugar and cocoa powder into a bowl. Mix well.
  3. Cream the egg whites and castor sugar in another bowl with a hand blender.
  4. Fold in the cocoa powder mixture, little by little, in the egg mixture and mix well.
  5. Put the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and seal.
  6. Pipe out small meringues on the lined baking tray and pat the peaks with your finger. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, cool and serve.
