- 300 grams Chicken breast boneless, cut into 1 inch pieces
Method
- Take chicken pieces in a large bowl, add squeeze juice of ½ lemon, add ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, ½ tbsp ginger-garlic paste and salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let their colour change. Add chopped onion, mix and sauté till golden brown.
- Add remaining ginger-garlic paste, mix well and saute till raw smells disappear. Add tomato, mix and sauté tomato turns pulpy.
- Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, remaining turmeric powder and salt, mix well and saute for 1 minute. Add ½ cup water, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.Add yogurt, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add chicken, mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Crush kasuri methi and add and mix well. Add cashewnut paste and mix well. Cook till chicken is done.
- Add sliced tomato, sliced onion and capsicum and mix well.
- Squeeze the juice of remaining ½ lemon and mix well. Add remaining garam masalapowder and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and take it off the heat.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
