Ingredients 

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 1/2 cup golden syrup
  • 2/3 cup fresh cream

Method

  1. Melt butter in a heavy pan, add brown sugar, castor sugar and golden syrup. Cook gently, stirring continuously, for three to four minutes over low heat.
  2. Remove from heat and gradually add cream. Serve warm or cold.
