Ingredients
- 1½ cups pearl millet flour (bajra flour)
- ½ cup yogurt
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¾ teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander
- Salt to taste
- 2 green chillies chopped
- Oil for deep frying
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Take bajra flour in a bowl. Add yogurt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, white sesame seeds, chopped coriander, salt and green chillies. Add sufficient water and knead into a dough.
- Divide dough into equal portions and shape each portion into medium sized tikkis and slightly flatten them.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, add the discs and deep fry on medium heat till nice and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
