Ingredients list for Apple And Date Balls

  • 500 grams Apples
  • 50 grams Dates stoned and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cup Walnut kernels chopped

Method

  1. Halve the unpeeled apples, remove cores and place in a large heavy bottomed pan. Add the dates, apple juice and ground cinnamon.
  2. Cook over very low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture forms a dry paste. Remove into a bowl and let cool. Roll the mixture into bite sized balls.
  3. Place walnuts under a hot grill. Toast until golden. Coat the balls in the nuts. Store in an airtight container.
