There are no two thoughts that drinking sufficient water can be one of the best things you do for your body. Not only does it help in detoxifying your body, but also helps you manage your weight. Just the simple act of starting your day with a glass of warm water does a great deal of good for your system. Infuse this water with some basic everyday ingredients and it takes you the whole mile!

This World Water Day, take a look at these simple infused water ideas which help you detox from the inside out – one glass at a time!

Lemon Water

This one is no secret and Lemon is great for weight loss and has umpteen other health benefits. It’s a great way to flush out toxins, prevent stomach disorders and fevers, stay hydrated and in general fit. Low in calories and high in potassium, a glass of warm lemon water in the morning and one in the night can be the panacea to all your weight woes. 

Jeera Water

Starting your day with a glass of jeera water and even drinking it throughout the day is a great idea if you want to have a healthy digestive system. Jeera water helps reduce acidity, bloating and flatulence. It is also beneficial for your liver and skin as it helps flush out toxins. It improves metabolism and energy levels. All you need to do is boil a couple of teaspoons of water with about a liter of water and ring it to a boil. Cool and fill up your mason jar or sipper with this tasty and beneficial concoction! Drink through the day!

Saunf or fennel seeds

Fennel seeds are a great digestive and an important culinary ingredient. Fennel water also helps in curing pain and cramps during menstruation. Soak a tablespoon of fennel seeds in a cup of water overnight and clean your eyes with that water which would help to cure puffy eyes and sore eyes.

Cucumber

Cucumber is the best thing to cool your body-inside out. Add slices of it to a jar of chilled water and sip on it through the day – It won’t just cool off your system from the inside out but also help you shed a few pounds, stock up on anti-oxidants and make your skin glow.

Watermelon

This delicious concoction is loaded with antioxidants which help improve liver function and burn fat. Plus the gorgeous colour and taste of this one will help you reach the daily water goal required for your body quite easily – even if you are sipping it at your office desk!
