Menu: The month of February, the world over, is reserved for romance. Especially February the 14th that is celebrated as Valentine’s Day. Candies, flowers, greeting cards and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. So prepare a special meal for your loved one with Chai Spiced Hot Chocolate, Prawn Pancakes and Chocolate Fingers.
Shopping list
18-20 medium prawns
1 packet oats
1 bottle dark soy sauce
1 bunch spring onions
1 bottle nutmeg powder
1 bottle cocoa powder
1 bottle vanilla essence
500 grams dark chocolate
20-25 strawberries
100 grams butter
1 vanilla sponge
100 grams desiccated coconut
For faster preparation
Marinate the prawns and with soy sauce, black pepper powder, salt and spring onions and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Make the batter ready for pancake. Crush fennel seeds, cardamom seeds, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, nutmeg powder and ginger in a mortar pestle. Cut the sponge into fingers. Puree the strawberries. Melt the chocolate and add butter to it.
How to go about it
Sauté prawns and keep them aside. Make pancakes ready and place the sautéed prawns on top of the pancakes and cook on both the sides till golden and serve. Heat milk in a pan, add the crushed powder, vanilla essence, honey, cocoa powder and mix well. Pour in individual glass and serve. Dip the sponge fingers into strawberry puree. Coat them with desiccated coconut and chocolate and serve.
