When making kheer, add sugar only in the end, after the rice is cooked. Or else, the rice will remain under cooked and the process will lengthen.

 How to remove a baked cake from the tin?

Wait for some time before attempting to remove cake from moulds. Cooling for some time allows them to shrink slightly and thus they are easier to remove.
