Macaroni raita

The main difference between Italian and Indo Italian dishes is that the dishes which require stuffing, Indian vegetables and masalas replace the authentic Italian ones. 
Authentic Italian foods use the typical Italian herbs to flavour but very little chillies. And since we Indians like our food to be spicier, plenty of chilli flakes do the needful.

Ingredients for Macaroni raita Recipe

  • Macaroni cooked 2 cups

  • Roasted peanuts 3 tablespoons

  • Green chillies 2

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 6-8

  • Asafoetida a pinch

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

  • coriander leaves chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Yogurt 1 cup


Step 1

Grind together roasted peanuts, green chillies to a coarse powder and keep aside.

Step 2

Mix together yogurt with salt and sugar. Add macaroni and lightly mix and keep it aside.Heat oil in a non stick pan add cumin seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida.

Step 3

When cumin seeds starts spluttering add the mixture to the yogurt mixture and mix well.Add sugar, salt and peanut powder to it and mix well.

Step 4

Serve garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
