Menu: Whenever I am asked as to what my favourite dish is, I often answer ‘Punjabi Kadhi’. The love for kadhis and dals can be judged by the fact that one can never have just one katori of dal or kadhi, it has to be at least two or more. So, try making a meal consisting these great dishes – Masoor Dal Soup, Trevti Dal and Vegetable Kadhi.
1 small packet black pepper powder
2 medium carrots
4-5 pieces French beans
1 small cauliflower
1 packet yogurt
150 grams green peas
250 grams cottage cheese
1 small packet dried fenugreek leaves
For faster preparation
For masoor dal soup, soak the dal for atleast an hour. Cook the soup and grind to a smooth texture. For trevti dal, soak the dals, pressure cook and set aside. For kadhi, cut and boil the vegetables. Keep the yogurt mixture ready.
How to go about it
Finish the kadhi first. Then the dal and then finish the soup with lemon. Serve hot.
