  • Tomatoes roughly chopped4 large

  • Ginger peeled2 inch piece

  • Oil 2 teaspoon

  • Onion chopped1 medium

  • Sesame seeds (til) roasted and powdered1 tablespoon

  • Peanuts roasted and powdered1 tablespoon

  • Cumin powder 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Jaggery (gur) grated1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Heat oil in a pan. Add tomatoes, ginger and onion. Cook on medium heat till the mixture become brown and homogenous. This may take round twenty minutes. Let cool. Add sesame, peanut, cumin and red chilli powder. Grind with jaggery and salt. Store in an airtight bottle to use as required.
