Ingredients 

  • 1 medium red cabbage
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic 
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper powder 
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Heat butter in a pan, add sliced onions and saute. Add red cabbage and salt and mix.
  2. Add crushed garlic and mix. Add sliced apples and saute. Add sugar and raisins. Once the apples are soft add red wine vinegar or lemon juice.
  3. Add freshly crushed black pepper and mix. Serve hot and crunchy.
