  • Carrots 4-5 large

  • Raisins 1/2 cup

  • Walnut kernels crushed6-8

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Black salt (kala namak) 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Green chilli chopped1

  • Black peppercorns crushed1/4 teaspoon

  • Honey 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh mint leaves 6-8


Step 1

Thickly grate carrots.

Step 2

Wash raisins, drain and squeeze out the excess water and add to the grated carrots.

Step 3

Add walnuts and mix.

Step 4

Combine lemon juice, black salt, salt, green chilli, crushed peppercorns, honey.

Step 5

Add a few mint leaves broken with hand.

Step 6

Just before serving add the dressing to the grated carrots and toss.

Step 7

Serve garnished with the remaining mint leaves.
