A touch of the Orient

Menu: A crunchy munchy Green Beans Stirfry with ever popular Sweet Chilli Chicken with steamed rice rounded off with a novel Rice Ice cream. 

Shopping list: 

600 gm boneless chicken thighs

150 gm French beans

100 gm carrot

1 pack button mushrooms

100 gm bean sprouts

2-3 fresh red chillies

1 bunch coriander sprigs

1 egg

150 gm brown rice

1 bottle sesame oil

1 tin water chestnuts 

1 bottle black bean sauce

1 bottle red chilli sauce

1 bottle sweet chilli sauce

1 bottle fish sauce

1 bottle tomato ketchup

1 packet brown sugar

1 litre milk

1 litre vanilla ice cream

For faster preparation: 

Soak the brown rice and make the ice cream. Freeze till needed. 

How to go about it:

Marinate chicken and set it aside. Meanwhile chop the vegetables for the stir fry. Fry the chicken and prepare the sauce. Prepare the rice. Just before serving, stir fry the vegetables and let them go straight to the table!
