Bhuna Gosht Recipe - how to make Bhuna Gosht

  • Mutton bones cut into 1 inch pieces 1/2 kilogram

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Onion chopped 5-6 medium

  • Caraway seeds (shahi jeera) 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Curry leaves 5-6

  • Mustard seeds 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder to taste

  • Red chilli powder to taste

  • Garam masala powder 2 tablespoons

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped for garnish


Step 1

Heat two tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and saute till it gets brown in color.

Step 2

Add mutton and saute for six to eight minutes.

Step 3

Add shahi jeera, curry leaves and mustard seeds and saute for more five minutes.

Step 4

Add ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Cover and cook for fifteen minutes or till the minutes gets cooked

Step 5

Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves
