Ingredients for Very Low Fat Brownies Recipe
Refined Flour 3 tablespoons
Cocoa Powder 1 cup
Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
Soda bicarbonate 1/2 teaspoon
Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1 cup
Skimmed milk 1/2 cup
Egg white beaten 2
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Oil 1 1/2 tablespoons
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. Line an eight-inch square cake tin with butter paper. Sift the flour, baking powder, soda bicarbonate and cocoa powder into a bowl.
Stir in the caster sugar, then beat in the milk, egg whites, vanilla essence and oil until thoroughly combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin.
Bake in preheated oven for about twenty-five minutes or until just firm to touch. Leave in the tin until completely cooled. Using a sharp knife, cut into sixteen squares, then remove from the tin using a spatula.
