Ingredients list for Vegetable Cheese Rolls

  • 8 slices Bread
  • 1/2 cup Cheeese grated grated
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespo Oil
  • 1 medium Onion , chopped
  • 1/2 cup Green capsicum, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger, chopped
  • 2 Green chilli, chopped

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine grated cheese, coriander leaves and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat two tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and saute till golden.
  3. Add capsicum, cabbage, ginger and green chillies. Saute till vegetables are soft.
  4. Take some water in a bowl and dip the bread slices, one at a time, for two to three seconds.
  5. Squeeze out the excess water pressing between your palms.
  6. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto each slice and spread evenly. Roll it tightly.
  7. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai. Deep fry rolls until crisp and golden.
  8. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
