Tawa Pulao

Main Ingredients

Cooked rice, Leftover bhaji of pav bhaji

  • Cooked rice leftover
    3 cups
  • Leftover bhaji of pav bhaji
    1 cup
  • Oil
    2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion chopped
    1 medium
  • Red chilli powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Pav bhaji masala
    1 teaspoon
  • Green peas boiled
    1/2 cup
  • Green capsicum 1 inch pieces
    1 medium
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped
    a few sprigs


Step 1

Heat oil on a tawa. Add cumin seeds and when they begin to change colour add onions and sauté till they are lightly browned.

Step 2

Add red chilli powder and pav bhaji masala stir for a minute. Add leftover bhaji, green peas, capsicum pieces and salt.

Step 3

Add leftover rice, mix well and cook till dry, stirring continuously.

Step 4

Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
