Marinated tiger prawns stir fried and then cooked with sauteed onions and other seasonings

Stir Fried Prawns

Tiger prawns, Turmeric powder

  • Tiger prawns peeled and deveined
  • Turmeric powder
    a pinch
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Lemon juice
    1 tablespoon
  • Rice flour
    1 tablespoon
  • Oil
    2 tablespoons
  • Ginger paste
    1 teaspoon
  • Green chillies chopped
  • Onions thickly sliced
    2 medium
  • Green capsicum thickly sliced
    1 medium
  • Black pepper powder
    to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped
    2 tablespoons


Step 1

Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice, rice flour and set it aside for half an hour.

Step 2

Heat one tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add prawns and stir fry till they turn pink in color or gets almost cooked.Heat remaining oil in another pan. Add ginger paste, green chillies and saute for a minute.

Step 3

Add onions and saute tillit turns brown in color. Add green capsicum and saute for two minutes. Add prawns, black pepper powder and salt and mix well and cook for a minute.Serve hot with chopped coriander leaves.
