When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Sausage Rolls Recipe

  • Chicken sausages 8

  • Wonton sheets 8

  • Green chillies 2

  • Processed cheese 50 grams

  • Garlic crushed 1 tablespoon

  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Cut green chillies and cheese into thin strips. Make slits on the sausages.

Step 3

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté till brown. Add sausages, ¼ cup water and tomato ketchup and mix well. Cook till the sausages are done.

Step 4

Brush wonton sheets with a little oil.

Step 5

Place 2 cheese strips, a green chilli strip and sausage mixture at one end of each wonton sheet and roll.

Step 6

Brush a baking tray with oil, place sausage rolls in it and brush top of the rolls with oil. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Step 7

Arrange the sausage rolls on a serving plate and serve hot.
