  • Basmati rice soaked
    1 1/2 cups
  • Oil
    1 tablespoon
  • Fresh red chilli sliced
  • Fresh button mushrooms sliced
  • Turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable stock infused for 15 mins with 4 inch lemon grass
    3 cups
  • Salt
    to taste


Step 1

Preheat oven at 180 °C.

Step 2

Take a matka, place it over heat. Add oil, sauté red chilli slices. Add mushrooms and turmeric powder. Drain rice and add it to the matka and sauté.

Step 3

Add vegetable stock and salt. Stir. Take the matka off the heat. Seal lid with atta. Place in hot oven and cook for 15 minutes. Remove seal when ready to serve.
