Ingredients for Pathare Prabhu Sambhar Masala Recipe

  • Coriander Seeds 8 tablespoons

  • Cumin Seeds 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Whole wheat kernels 2 tablespoons

  • Split Bengal gram (chana dal) 2 tablespoons

  • Whole dry red chilli 16-20

  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

  • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns 1 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida a pinch


Step 1

Dry roast all ingredients one at a time except asafoetida powder. Cool, add asafoetida powder and grind to a fine powder. Store in an airtight container.
