Pasta with Meat Sausages

What is the best thing one could rustle up in a hurry when hunger pangs are unbearable? The first thing that comes to mind is pasta! Believe it or not, it is the mainstay dish of all those who want a filling meal in a jiffy. What fascinates most food lovers is that it is available in a multitude of shapes, colours and now even flavours. The variety of shapes, sizes and designs include tubes, ribbons, spirals, shells, bows and wheels. Pleasures of pasta!

Pasta with Meat Sausages Recipe - How to make Pasta with Meat Sausages

Cook time : 31-40 minutes

  • Farfalle (bow tie pasta) 200 grams

  • Sausages 8

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Garlic chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium

  • Red wine 1/2 cup

  • Arrabiata sauce 1 1/2 bottle

  • Crushed black peppercorns as required

  • Fresh basil leaves 15-20

  • Extra virgin olive oil 3-4 tablespoons


Step 1

Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan. Heat sufficient water in a deep non stick pan. Place a silicon colander in it and put the pasta in it. Add salt, cover and cook till the pasta is just done.

Step 2

Add garlic and onions to the pan and saute. Halve the sausages and put into a chopper and process till well minced. Add red wine to the lightly browned onions and cook till the wine is reduced.

Step 3

Add arrabiata sauce and mix. Rinse the bottle with a little water and add. Add minced sausages to the pan and mix. Add 2 tbsps water and mix. Add freshly crushed black peppercorns and adjust salt and mix well. Tear basil leaves and add.

Step 4

Drain the pasta and add to the sauce. Add extra virgin olive oil and mix well. Put into a serving bowl and serve hot.
