Pasta Carbonara

Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Pasta Carbonara Recipe

  • Tri colourspiral Pasta 200 grams

  • Onions to taste

  • Bacon Rasher 5-6 to taste

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Processed cheese grated 1/2 cup

  • White wine 1 cup

  • Crushed black peppercorns as required

  • Eggs 2


Step 1

Heat sufficient water in a deep non stick pan and place a silicon colander in it. Put the pasta in the colander, add salt and cook.

Step 2

Heat a non stick pan. Chop bacon and add to the pan and saute. Add onions and continue to saute. Place grated processed cheese and grated parmesan cheese in a bowl.

Step 3

Add white wine to the pan and cook. Add salt and freshly crushed black peppercorns and mix well. Add the bacon mixture to the cheese. Break eggs into this bowl and mix.

Step 4

Strain pasta and add to the bacon-egg mixture and mix well. Serve immediately.
