Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Orange Kheer Recipe

  • Orange Segments 1/4 cup + for garnishing

  • Milk 5 cups

  • Sugar 3/4 cup

  • Sago (sabudana) soaked and drained 2 tablespoon

  • Orange essence a few drops


Step 1

Boil milk in a deep non-stick pan. Add sugar, mix well and stir till sugar dissolves. Add sago and cook, stirring continuously, till it gets cooked and the mixture thickens.

Step 2

Add orange essence, mix well and cook for two minutes. Set aside to cool. Add orange segments and mix well. Chill and serve.
