Orange Ambrosia

Fusion food is a general term for the combination of various forms of cookery and comes in several forms.

Ingredients for Orange Ambrosia Recipe

  • Orange 4

  • Sponge Cake 2 tablespoons

  • Orange marmalade

  • Brown sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Sponge cake 6 inch round

  • Vanilla ice cream as required


Step 1

Keep 4 stemmed glasses in a refrigerator to chill. Peel oranges and separate segments. Cook them in a non stick pan with brown sugar and orange juice.

Step 2

Cut the cake horizontally into 3 slices. Cut out roundels in 3 different sizes using round cookie cutters.

Step 3

Keep the smallest roundels at the base of the glasses, cover with some of the orange mixture along with some juice.

Step 4

Spread a layer of ice cream. Over this keep the medium sized cake roundels, cover with some of the orange mixture over this too and top it with a layer of ice cream.

Step 5

Place the biggest cake roundels on top, cover with some of the orange mixture. Chill in the refrigerator.

Step 6

While serving put a scoop of ice cream on the topmost cake roundel and top it with some orange marmalade and one orange segment. Serve immediately.
