By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken leg, Onion Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 5-6 hour Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Mirchi Murgh 4 Chicken leg 4 teaspoons Onion 4 tablespoons Tomato puree 1/4 teaspoon Sugar to taste Salt a few Fresh coriander sprigs chopped Marinade 1 medium Onion roughly chopped 4 cloves Garlic roughly chopped 2 inch piece Ginger roughly chopped 4 Green cardamoms 5-6 Green chillies roughly chopped to taste Salt 2 teaspoons Lemon juice For paste 2 tablespoons Coriander seeds 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 4-5 Dried red chillies 1 inch stick Cinnamon 4 Cloves Method Advertisment Cut each chicken leg into two at the knee joint. For the marinade grind onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies to a smooth paste. Stir in salt and lemon juice. Apply this mixture on the chicken pieces. Cover and leave to marinate for four to six hours in the refrigerator. Remove from refrigerator at least thirty minutes before cooking. For the paste grind coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, cinnamon, cloves and green cardamoms and a little water to a smooth paste. Place the marinated chicken in a microwave casserole. Cook, covered, on Microwave HIGH (100%) for eight minutes, stirring once. Mix in the paste and cook, covered, on Microwave HIGH (100%) for three minutes, stirring once. Stir in the oil, tomato puree, sugar and salt to taste. Cover and cook on Microwave MEDIUM (70%) for ten minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
