You are hungry? Poach an egg and have it topped with stir fried veggies – perfect protein source for the body! Check the freshness – keep a raw egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

  • Eggs 3

  • Salt to taste

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1/2 cup

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 2-3 cups

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cocoa powder 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Whipped cream 1 cup

  • Fresh cherries a few


Step 1

Beat the eggs. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time, then continue to beat until stiff. Add egg yolks and vanilla essence and beat until combined.

Step 2

Sift together cornflour, flour, salt, cocoa powder and baking powder. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture with a light hand. Pour batter into a microwave container.
