Rice kheer flavoured with fresh kiwi.

Kheer With Fresh Kiwi

  • Kiwi peeled & finely chopped
    6 medium
  • Rice
    1 cup
  • Milk
    6 cup
  • Castor sugar (caster sugar)
    2/3 cup
  • Cinnamon powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Green cardamoms deseeded
  • Almonds sliced
    1/4 cup
  • Fresh cream
    2/3 cup


Step 1

Wash the rice. Boil three cups water, add rice and cook uncovered for five minutes.

Step 2

Heat milk, sugar, cinnamon powder in a non stick pan. Once a boil comes, add rice and stir well.Simmer and cook for twenty to thirty minutes.

Step 3

Remove from heat and add kiwi, cardamom seeds and half the almonds.Add cream and mix well.Serve garnished with remaining almond slices.
