And it would also interest you to know that the favourite popcorn, made by popping the small corn kernels, is a wholesome cereal food and is easily digested. Besides this, corn sees its use in various other ways – salads, soups, subzis and even sweets too!

  • Black peppercorns crushed5-7

  • Peanuts 2 tablespoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped2

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • coriander leaves chopped2 tablespoon


Step 1

Place poha in a colander and wash well. Drain and set aside.Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add peanuts and sauté till golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper and set aside.Add cumin seeds in the same oil, once they crackle, add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add green chillies. Sauté for a minute.

Step 2

Add drained poha and toss.Add salt, peppercorns and lemon juice and mix.Add chaat masala, coriander leaves, peanuts and toss. Cook for two to three minutes.Serve hot.
