Ingredients for Jalapeno Corn Bread

  • Cornmeal 1 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Egg beaten 1

  • Corn kernels boiled and mashed 1/2 cup

  • Jalapeno chopped 4-5

  • Cheddar cheese grated 1/2 cup

  • Onion chopped 1 large

  • Olive oil 1/2 cup

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 300°C. Grease and dust an eight-inch round cake tin. In a mixing bowl, whisk together corn meal, refined flour, milk and egg.

Step 2

Add corn, jalapenos, cheese and onion and mix. Fold in the olive oil.

Step 3

Pour into the greased tin and bake in preheated oven for forty five minutes. Cool, cut into slices and serve.

How to make Jalapeno Corn Bread
